The mighty Weißeck (2,711 meters) rises above the Riedingsee (2,169 meters), where the hiker looks out over the flower-filled rear Riedingtal. Rock crystals and rare minerals can be found in it and the stories that have been and are told about them are legendary. Where the Schlierersee is today, there was once a high moor, the "Ei'g'hagte Moos und Winterweg" was the name of the connection from Zederhaus, because this is where sledges loaded with hay or wood once pulled the path.
