The parish church Spital am Semmering is a Roman Catholic parish church in the center of Spital am Semmering in the district of Bruck-Mürzzuschlag in the state of Styria. It is dedicated to the Feast of the Assumption and was built in 1160 and consecrated in 1163 by Archbishop Eberhard of Salzburg.

Today there is almost nothing left of the parish church that started around 1160 and was consecrated in 1163 by Archbishop Eberhard of Salzburg; At that time it was still a small hospital church, which served as protection for all commercial travelers and pilgrims on their arduous journey over the Semmering.
