We are hiring! PhD position in localization and mapping for multi-robots in underground mines, caves and lunar lava tubes. Are you interested in developing further the localization and mapping capabilities for single and multi-rovers in underground environments to evaluate the safeness of the mines and to understand the needs of future Moon rovers? Very cool and interesting, a multi bot approach is the right way. Am I correct to assume that there will be a surface transmitter /power generation and the robots themselves keep connected and charge via microwaves, daisy chaining their way through the tunnel. If not, perhaps that might be a good approach that would account for several unknowns.
