Description

The 388 meter high Waschberg is located in the municipalities of Leitzersdorf and Niederhollabrunn in the district of Korneuburg in Lower Austria.

The Waschberg is located in the Natura 2000 area. In the summit area there is one of the last and few large semi-arid grasslands in the Weinviertel, in addition, a colony of the in Austria highly endangered sable has settled here. For every visitor, whether hiker, cyclist, nodric walker or runner, a world of experience with rare plant species and a variety of insects is offered.

Tours to the Waschberg

  • Over the Weinviertel peaks - A two-day stage with a length of almost 35 km. The tour starts from Mistelbach to Großrußbach over the highest elevation of the Weinviertel and continues to the Waschberg. The destination of the tour is the town of Stockerau.
  • Michelberg-Round
    Mountain bike tour starting from Stockerau train station, to Bruderndorf, Niederhollabrunn, further on the Way of St. James to the Michelberg and Waschberg. Via Leitzersdorf back to Stockerau. (Duration approx. 3,45h)
