SHORT BIO

Martin Weilbach retired, after 15 years, as a lecturer in Law after having taught labour and commercial law. He has qualifications in law and business administration. He is a qualified assessor in Conduct – Outcomes Assessments. He is a Cambridge University qualified teacher of English for Speakers of Other Languages. He is also a Mediation in Motion trained mediator. Martin has experience in various fields having been a sailor, bank clerk, insurance salesman, estate agent, weather technician and teacher amongst others. He also worked in the Middle East and North Africa teaching Law, Business subjects and English. Having come through all these environments it became clear to him that there aren’t many situations where parties, in any type of dispute, has the same power. Almost all disputes end with a winning and a losing party. This didn’t seem fair and he searched for some way where parties could resolve a dispute in a fair and just manner. He found that mediation is the answer, disputes are resolved and it ends up where there is a win – win situation. Martin is passionate about mediation for the very simple reason that, in almost all cases, a fair and just outcome can be expected.
