M739/740 shifter internals

Does anyone know if the shifter internals are the same on these?

Can you use the internals from one in the casing of another or was the difference more than just the optic display?

the guts are the same but as you said slight tweek for use with optical display mate on case and a small hole on ratchit to fit indicater pin
