I started my summer in Austria with two days in Ehrwald, Tyrol. This beautiful village is home to the Zugspitz Arena and dominated by two summits: the Zugspitz massif and the highly attractive Sonnenspitze (2.417 m). As we probably all know, the Zugspitze (2.962 m) is the highest peak of the Wetterstein Mountains and Germany’s highest mountain. I was lucky with wonderful warm evening light at sunset and I especially liked how the Sonnenspitze was bathed in golden light. This sunset was a perfect start into my summer holidays!
