History:

The Uhrfahrschanze at Schwarzach im Pongau was constructed as a permanent ski jumping hill in 1928. Due to a lack of snow the opening could only take place in 1931 with an inaugural jump by Alois Obermoser. In the following years many competitions were hosted and the hill record was established at 58 meters by Walter Reinhardt from Bischofshofen.
After World War II, the hill was initially re-opened as "Rudolf-Stitz-Schanze" and in 1948 a high-class night competition was hosted. In 1969, 1977, 1985 and 1996 the Austrian Championships were held at Schwarzach. On Urfahrschanze jumps of more than 80 meters were possible and over the years the ski jumping facility was extended to four ski hills: In 1983 the small Urfahrschanze K48 was added and in 1995-96 the plastic covered K25 and K15 junior hills were built. In mid-2000s the training of young ski jumpers was further intensified and thus ski jumpers like Stefan Kraft, Paul Gerstgraser and Chiara Hölzl could be brought up by SC Schwarzach.
In order to establish Schwarzach as a nordic junior training center for whole Salzburg state and to prevent young jumpers from very long journeys for their summer practising, in 2011 the 2 million Euro project of new junior jumping hills was started. Over the year 2012 first the two smaller plastic covered hills were dismantled and on the site of the two larger ones the construction of three new palstic covered hills K50, K30 and K15 had started. In December 2012 first snow jumps on K30 and K15, as well as on a K7 snow hill next to K15, could be performed. Finally the four plastic covered ski jumping hills four all-year use were officially inaugurated in fall 2013.

Anfrage Sprungtraining Sommer

Liebes Team,
Danke! Martin Wildner
