Zams in Austria is a medium sized ski resort with 7 ski lifts (1 gondola, 3 chair lifts, 3 surface lifts) that offers skiers an incredible 1432 metres (4698 feet) of vertical descent. Zams has 15 pistes with a total length of 25 km kilometers (175 miles). Zams is best suited to beginner skiers and snowboarders but there is some terrain for both expert and intermediates. There are 13 kilometers (8 miles) of cross country ski trails at Zams. For snowboarders, there is a terrain park and a half pipe. About one third of the pistes at Zams are covered by snowmaking. The nearest airport is at Salzburg.
