Best Damuels-Mellau-Faschina Snowboarding

East of Zurich and southeast of Bregenz, the Skiresort Damuels-Mellau-Faschina is a family-friendly ski region with over 20 lifts serving 100km of pistes. It is well known for epic snowpack with over 10m of snowfall annually. Located within the Bregenzerwald, the towns are 20km apart and serviced by a free local ski bus. The maximum vertical descent is over 1600m and most of the pistes are intermediate. The region has over 9m of snowfall annually.

The Damuels Mellau Faschina ski region is well know for one of the best snoparks in Vorarlberg. The Snow Park Damuls is located near the Walisgaden lift and has plenty of rails, boxes, kickers and tabletops to session.

There are numerous freeride routes descending from each of the half dozen interconnected summits and also the bus connected Faschina region. After a hard morning of snowboarding, the Damuels-Mellau-Faschina ski region has 11 traditional huts that are worth checking out for lunch. But, don't expect much at the end of the day in the way of apres ski action.

To reach the snowboarding at Damuels from Zurich, there are train & bus connections, but it takes a long time and 3-4 changes. The best option is to book a shuttle bus. Once you arrive in Damuels, there are free local ski buses that interconnect the villages.
