The 2.717 m high Serles Mountain or "High Altar of the Alps" as Goethe called it, is one of the most popular recreational areas near Innsbruck. Thanks to Stubaital's cable cars and lifts that comfortably take holiday-makers and locals up the mountains, you can experience hours of relaxation in nature, both in summer and winter. The variety of sports activities on offer is unique: hiking, biking, tobogganing, skiing, sledding and snowshoeing promise hours of entertainment in the Tyrolean mountain world. Or simply take in the wonderful view across Innsbruck all the way to the Karwendel mountain range whilst enjoying the sun at the traditional alpine meadows and huts.
