The father and representative of Brazil star Kaka, Bosco Leite, flew into Milan today, as the player's spokesman admitted that his decision over a move to Manchester City would hinge "on the team they intend to put together" at Eastlands.

"There will be a meeting between Kaka's father [Leite] and Milan to see what is going to happen," Diogo Kotscho, Kaka's Brazilian spokesman, told the Guardian, adding that he did not know which day the meeting would take place. "He wants to hear what they [Milan] are going to do. We want to hear it from their mouth," Kotscho said. "If Milan want to negotiate [with Manchester City] Kaka will take his decision."

Kotscho said Kaka's decision depended "on the team that Manchester City intend to put together". "With the kind of money they have, or are said to have, they could create a great team very quickly," he added.

It is understood that Leite will first meet Kaka and then hold talks with the Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani at a hotel close to the city. In the meantime, Galliani is meeting with club owner Silvio Berlusconi at the Italian prime minister's house at Arcore, near Milan, to discuss the transfer, which has caused great unrest among the club's fans and followers.

"This club and this ownership deserve respect and love from the fans," said Galliani last night. "I don't know what Kaka will do. I have the same feelings as the fans but, being AC Milan club administrator, I must see reason."

Meanwhile, Giorgio Armani has urged Milan not to sell Kaka, who endorses the famous fashion designer's clothing. "I would rather tell Galliani to sell all of Milan," he told the Gazzetta dello Sport. "It's useless to sell such an important player. With Kaka and his wife I have a splendid relationship, they are wonderful people. But I understand that such an offer is difficult to turn down."

Milan play a friendly in Germany on Wednesday against Hannover.
