The Relais and Chateaux Hotel Burg Wernber experience the feeling of a castle setting at its best. With its walls dating back to the 12th century it is situated on a majestic hill with picturesque views of the rolling hills and forests of the Bavarian countryside . Guests are enchanted by the historical charm of the castle its personalized and unpretentious service and the creative and young farm to table cuisine by executive chef Robert Morgan. In June 2018 the British native took over the reins of the culinary affairs including the signature restaurant Kastell. Burg Wernberg is the perfect retreat for a romantic and gourmet getaway.

A beautiful castle style hotel with real history. A mix of modern and new but a real sense of character. Also houses a 2 michelin star restaurant with phenomenal modern Germanic cuisine cooked by Thomas Kellerman.

The food with the chef was excellent and the service was magnificent. We always strongly recommend this place to our friends and family, however , despite the wonderful service and the ambiance of the castle the "normal (other) restaurant" food wasn't as satisfying. Little bit salty and wasn't as fresh. But overall top restaurant and I would come back.
