Visited on a quiet, slightly rainy day and went for a stroll without guides. We saw wolfes and heard them howling(!!) and we saw boars dozing in the mud. Perfect for an afternoon with kids, there‘s even a playground. Pro-tip re motivation: start out going left instead of right after the ticket house, that way you get to the playground last instead of first :)

This was one of the best days of my life - no joke. My boyfriend also said it far exceeded his expectations. The place is easy to reach-many signs and good parking possibilities. Upon entrance you pay for tickes and are given the option to buy food bags (1€, do it!). You get a little map and are left to get on your own path. There are lots of large areas for different animals - goats, sheep, pigs, and "Steinböcke" with their own personal rocks to climb (if you look up you see them hanging out randomly in the rocks). You also pass by a lot of big areas with wolves - around noon time they were all napping in the sun, but still you hear wolf howls every hour or so which is really amazing and a bit intimidating at the same time as you easily forget you aren't just walking through nature - the fences are very thin, you almost forget there is something separating you from the animals, but you feel safe. You are allowed to lean your hands into the fences and feed many of the animals (some animals shouldn't be fed, but this is noted with a sign). This already is a great experience. But then the unexpected happens and you enter an area with deer families just roaming free. The area is huge - even though there are many people at the park on a sunny day, you feel like you are alone with them. They are quite shy but some do eventually come and say hi and eat from your hand. It is like a magical disney forest where wild animals come running towards you. It was so lovely, and made me quite emotional. There is a nice little terasse to have coffee and cake or even soup - very weirdly to me they also served "rehgulasch" (deergulash) - even more sirprisingly many of the guests who came to feed bambi ended up ordering bambi - this was a bit disturbing. This is definately a must-do on a sunny day. careful with shoes! very muddy, witha chance to hose them down there, but rainboots would be the best bet.

We visited the park which was lovely and we also fed the animals.
There was some uphills to walk and sometimes there is more to walk than seeing some animals but it's been enjoyable

The Wild park is a cute roadside zoo and worth a stop if you are in the area. Admission to the park gets you access to view the wolves at the Wolf Science Center. Tours of the science center are extra and very expensive. I booked a two hour advanced tour with a trainer, thinking that included a wolf visit. It did not and I did not find out until after we had paid in cash 115 euro, about 140 usd. I would understand a simple miscommunication on that, but the tour was supposed to focus on training. Instead we got a one hour tour (half the stated time) in which we heard about which animals had to he moved because they fought with other animals and shown empty training areas. We got a 5 minute demonstration with a wolf where the "trainer" put a wolf through his paces of sit and down. This was the entire content of the presentation. At most zoo and animal facilities this kind of presentation is included in the .

I have been following the research coming out of the Wolf Science center for a while and it was wonderful to finally get to visit. I live in Alaska and have had many interactions with wolves and I am happy that they are documenting the amazing intelligence and capacity for cooperation that I have witnessed over the years.

The Park's setting is idyllic, and all the visitors seemed to really be enjoying themselves and the animals. Since I was there for a few days I stayed at the Gasthaus Luger in Ernstbrunn and was VERY happy with the accommodations there as well, although I don't see it listed here to review.

Great trip with children. You can pet and feed lots of animals. I think it's cool that you can go into lots of enclosures. The paths are suitable for pushchairs, except for the big path behind the quarry. With the Lower Austria family pass you get a free bag of food. The snack bar by the cash register has little choice. The restaurant in the lower outdoor enclosure offers more choice, such as chips and nuggets.

This small wildlife park is located in Ernstbrunn. The variety of animals is rather limited, with deer, fawns, ibex, wild boars, pigs etc. and the main attraction, the wolves. The park is well made and well maintained, you can also feed many of the animals present with the food that you can buy at the cash register. The park is small but not very small, with 2 different routes.
