Put your students' knowledge of continents to the test with our The Continents Labeled activity. This Labeling the Continents activity challenges your students to write the names of the continents into the empty label boxes so that each one is correctly labeled. There is a helpful word bank for your students to refer to when completing this activity, too.
Our The Continents Labeled activity is great to use during your unit on Continents and is quick and easy to get ready to use. There’s no preparation needed with our Labeling the Continents resource, so all you need to do to get it ready to use is download the resource file and print out your desired amount of copies.
Incredible!
This resource is a great one. However, I would love to have it in the Montessori colours. Thank you.

Our lovely resource creation team have created this and emailed the new resource to you! I hope you find it useful!
In your wonderful world ppt you referred to the continent of Australia as Australia but here you have got it right as Australasia. Can you correct for continuity please - not here, there.
Hi there, thanks for commenting. Australasia is Twinkl's chosen name for the continent, when listing all seven continents on a resource. Please can you send me a link to the PowerPoint in question so that I can get it checked.
Australasia is the name of a geographical region, it is not the name of the continent. The name of the continent is Australia.
Hello PabloGriff,
Thank you for your feedback. I'll get this resource checked right away!
love it

Hello. I feel like I have been able to put some of the PPT's on Google Slides but not all, Am I doing something wrong? Are all of your PPT's compatible with GS? Asking for a friend.
Hello morales333,
Thanks for contacting us today. I'm just going to send you a quick email about this so that I can get some extra details :)

Great for assessment.

HI , Am thinking of using this as a part of a worksheet . Not attatching the answers of course.
Hi guncha,
Thanks for your comment :)
If there's anything we could do to make this resource even better, please let us know!
Was one made for both the oceans and continents? As this would be perfect for Year 2 (its an objective we need to achieve).
Hi alexandrabradford,
I think we have what you're looking for! Please check out this resource and let me know if it's not quite what you were hoping for :)

No I have just had a look and this only has the oceans to label. We need to be able to name the oceans and the continents.
Hi snoopybun,
Thank you very much for commenting! It's great to hear from you :) This resource has the labels pointing to each continent. If you would like a resource for labeling the oceans, we have this lovely resource here: https://www.twinkl.co.uk/resource/t-g-272-the-five-oceans-labelling-map-activity-sheet
Hi there snoopybun and alexandrabradford - I have requested that a version with both the oceans and continents to label is sent to you both. I hope this helps :)
Hi there snoopybun,
The additional content can be found on the higher ability version, which you can find underneath the pink download button. Have a lovely day :)
This is a lovely and helpful resource. However, I THINK (and I am not an expert, so I could very well be wrong) that Oceania is a more appropriate name for the continent that you have listed as Australasia, as it also include Polynesia, Micronesia and Melanesia. Just thought it could be something to check. I don't mean to be difficult at all - I love Twinkl and am SO grateful for all of the fantastic resources you provide :)
Hello there,
Thank you for getting in touch. Our lovely teaching team have reviewed this The Seven Continents Labelling Activity Worksheet and while there are few different schools of thought on the correct name for this continent, Twinkl's chosen name is 'Australasia'. We do also have an editable version available in the 'more downloads' section that you may find useful for changing this to be more appropriate for your setting.
I believe it should be Oceania not Australasia?
Australasia is Australia and New Zealand, some maps include the Torres Strait Islands as well. Oceania, is a composite of four regions including Australasia.Oceania stretches out over the Pacific and part of South East Asia, covering Australasia, Melanesia, Micronesia and Polynesia.
Hi eeball,
Thank you so much for getting in touch! It's lovely to hear from you :) In order for us to be consistent, at Twinkl we use "Australasia" when we refer to this continent. We do have an editable version of this if you would prefer to adapt it to meet your needs :) I hope this helps!
Is there a reason why it has Oceania for Australia?
Hello bell.k4975,
The editable version of the resource has Australasia if you would prefer this. I have also asked for an Australasia version of the main resource to be made for you. I hope this helps.
Thank you for getting in touch. We have adapted this activity sheet to use the term 'Australisia' when referring to the continent (our preferred term) and the new version is now available to download. I hope you find it useful!
Hi. In the HA version, in the answers, "Arctic" is misspelled.
Hi james9999,
Thank you so much for letting us know about this one. I'll get this resource checked right away!
Hi there james9999,

Thanks
Hi Weezywombat,

It will help your students find out what a continent is and explore what continents are found on planet Earth. This PowerPoint is suitable to use with your whole class and doesn’t require any preparation, either.
You can use our Continent Maps with Words and Pictures posters in a variety of ways to help your students deepen their understanding of what countries are on each continent and what each continent looks like. You can include these posters as part of an informative classroom display, use them as visual teaching aids in one of your lessons, or even hand copies out to your students so they can keep them in their folders as handy reference sheets.
