  • Perched below the parish church, the old village centre of Wolfurt had experienced years of decline before an integrated revitalisation concept helped turn things around. The overhaul of two 300-year-old Rheintal valley buildings, the erection of perfectly planned structures surrounding a central playground and green area, and the new market square all promote bustling village life and provide space for key municipal institutions. The community has also benefited from the addition of a cafe, a world shop and much more besides.

    Kirchbergerhaus

This former village inn underwent a thorough renovation, with the catering area being replaced in its entirety. The new concept includes a ground-floor bar within the walls of the old building, while the new shop in the adjacent timber structure boasts a mezzanine design spread across two storeys. A spacious hallway featuring a staircase divides the layout of the upper floors.

    Schwesternhaus
Formerly the residence and workshop of teaching nuns from a local women’s order, this 300-year-old timber building underwent a renovation financed by the municipality of Wolfurt.
