Functionality<br />
<strong>Glasses</strong> Overview<br />
(1) Button (ON, OFF, Dual View Select, <strong>3D</strong> Mode Select)<br />
(2) LED light<br />
Turning On/Off Your <strong>Glasses</strong><br />

Step 1: ON: Press button (1) once<br />
»»<br />
Step 2: LED light (2) will ramp from off to bright<br />
»»<br />
Step 3: OFF: Press button (1) once<br />
»»<br />
Step 4: LED light (2) will ramp from bright to off<br />
The glasses also automatically turn off if no valid <strong>3D</strong> sync is<br />
detected for 5 minutes.<br />
Set Your <strong>Glasses</strong> to Operate in <strong>3D</strong> Mode<br />
Set your <strong>3D</strong> device to <strong>3D</strong> DLP-Link mode and turn on the<br />
glasses. When the glasses are in range of your <strong>3D</strong> device, they<br />
will automatically start to operate in <strong>3D</strong> mode.<br />

Some <strong>3D</strong> DLP-Link devices may show inverted <strong>3D</strong> image when<br />
used with <strong>XPAND</strong> X103-EDUX3 glasses. <strong>XPAND</strong> X103-EDUX3<br />
glasses support Normal <strong>3D</strong> Mode and Inverted <strong>3D</strong> Mode. To<br />
switch between Normal <strong>3D</strong> and Inverted <strong>3D</strong> operation, press and<br />
hold the button (1) for 3 seconds.<br />
When 3 seconds button hold is detected, LED light (2) indicates<br />
selected <strong>3D</strong> Mode:<br />
Inverted <strong>3D</strong> Mode: Five Quick Blinks<br />
Normal <strong>3D</strong> Mode: One Long Blink<br />
Each time the <strong>XPAND</strong> X103-EDUX3 glasses are turned ON, they<br />
start in the same <strong>3D</strong> mode as they were in when turned OFF<br />
(Normal <strong>3D</strong> or Inverted <strong>3D</strong>).<br />
Set Your <strong>Glasses</strong> to Operate in Dual View Mode<br />
With the selection of Dual View Mode <strong>XPAND</strong> X103-EDUX3 glasses<br />
can be used for dual gaming. Dual View Mode can be used during<br />
normal <strong>3D</strong> viewing as well to disable <strong>3D</strong> viewing for people that<br />
face uncomfortable feeling when watching <strong>3D</strong>.<br />
When <strong>3D</strong> device is emitting dual view image, double click on the<br />
button (1) to enter Dual View Mode for player 1. Another double<br />
click will turn the glasses to Dual View Mode for player 2. The<br />
next double click will bring the glasses back to <strong>3D</strong> viewing mode.<br />
When double click is detected, LED light (2) indicates the eyewear<br />
mode:<br />
Player 1: One Quick Blink<br />
Player 2: Two Quick Blinks<br />
<strong>3D</strong> Mode: One Long Blink for Normal <strong>3D</strong> or Five Quick Blinks for<br />
Inverted <strong>3D</strong><br />

Each time the <strong>XPAND</strong> X103-EDUX3 glasses are turned ON, they<br />
start in <strong>3D</strong> Mode (Normal <strong>3D</strong> or Inverted <strong>3D</strong>). The Dual View Mode<br />
selection is not stored into the memory.<br />
Battery Low Indication<br />
If LED light (2) and shutters flash at power on, battery level is<br />
low. <strong>Glasses</strong> will continue to operate normally until the battery is<br />
completely discharged.<br />

Troubleshooting<br />
The glasses don’t work: Make sure that the glasses are turned on.<br />
If problems persist try to turn the ambient lights off or shade the<br />
windows if intensive sunlight is present. Make sure that your <strong>3D</strong><br />
device is set to <strong>3D</strong> DLP-Link mode. Get closer to the screen.<br />

Range of the glasses strongly depends on the used <strong>3D</strong> device and/<br />
or projection screen.<br />
<strong>3D</strong> image looks unnatural: Make sure that you have selected the<br />
correct <strong>3D</strong> Mode. Try to change the <strong>3D</strong> Mode from Normal <strong>3D</strong><br />
Mode to Inverted <strong>3D</strong> Mode.<br />
