Hike to the castle Schlandersberg

With the hotel bus we drive to Schlanders. Our hike leads us first to a small but idyllic waterfall, a green oasis on the Sonnenberg in Schlanders. From here we hike along the Ilswaal uphill to Schlandersberg Castle. It was built in the 13th century, but is now privately owned. From up here, a beautiful view of Schlanders and the Nördersberg on the opposite side opens up. The path down is steep and rocky, but since it is not wooded, you can still enjoy the beautiful panorama and summer warmth even in autumn.
