Dornier Do 17, a German light bomber used by the Luftwaffe during World War II. Its strengths lay in its speed and its thin airframe, which made it harder to hit. Taken from a British Air Ministry handbook entitled 'Silhouettes of German Aircraft', issued in 1940 to 'roof watchers' attempting to spot enemy craft from the top of buildings.
